The Sixties was a time we all enjoyed the sounds of proper Radio stations, brought to us by the likes of Radio Caroline North. This vessel brought to many great listening pleasure when it started it's Pirate transmissions in the Irish sea on Medium Wave 199Mtrs easter 1964.

The Northcoast of the Isle of Anglesey was particularly suited for the reception of these transmissions as it was well within the transmision capture area. As a dedication to those heroes of the day we feel it also appropriate to remeber some of the equipment we used to listen to these sounds.

I welcome any contact with anyone who remembers those days, and may have still some of the old Radios of the day to share with us on this site. Feel free to contact me at the links provided.

Happy days.......

It all started Easter 1964 on 199 Metres.
